Häagen-Dazs’ new Heaven collection shoots for lighter indulgences

Häagen-Dazs is putting a lighter spin on its ice cream offerings.

New to the Oakland, Calif.-based company’s portfolio is Heaven — a collection of light ice cream that uses ultra-filtered milk, half the fat of regular ice cream, and does not contain artificial sweeteners or GMO ingredients.

“The Häagen-Dazs brand is dedicated to creating perfect moments for all consumers to indulge, which is why we were inspired to create Heaven. This collection offers lower calorie options, while still satisfying a sweet tooth with the deliciously rich flavor you'd expect from a Häagen-Dazs product,” Meredith Saxe, Häagen-Dazs' brand manager, said. “These flavors were thoughtfully crafted with the finest ingredients to continue delivering the iconic creamy texture and perfect flavors you expect from the Häagen-Dazs brand.”

Available in four flavors, the collection includes:

  • Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel with light chocolate ice cream swirled with a ribbon of sea salt caramel;
  • Strawberry Waffle Cone with light strawberry ice cream dappled with strawberries and chocolate-covered waffle cone pieces;
  • Peanut Butter Chip with light vanilla ice cream, featuring a swirl of peanut butter and chocolate chips; and
  • Cold Brew Espresso Chip with light coffee ice cream and chocolate espresso chips.

Häagen-Dazs’ Heaven collection comes in 14-oz. containers found at retailers nationwide at the suggested retail price of $5.49 each.
