Levain Bakery cookies make their retail debut

Now enjoying the taste of Levain Bakery’s iconic cookies is as easy as running to your nearest Whole Foods Market.

The bakery, known for its crispy, ooey-gooey gigantic cookies, announced that it would be launching a line of its sweet treats available exclusively at the retailer.

“Whole Foods Market shoppers are always seeking innovative and delicious products, which is why we are thrilled to launch Levain Bakery’s cookies in stores nationwide,” Alex Hickey, category manager at Whole Foods Market said. “As a new addition to our freezer aisles, customers can now indulge in these artisanal treats from the comfort of home.”

Using the same recipe as the one in the bakery, Levain’s cookies are made without the use of additives and preservatives or stabilizers, the company said.

Found in the freezer aisle, the cookies are available in three varieties — chocolate chip walnut, two chip chocolate chip, and dark chocolate chocolate chip.

“When we opened Levain, we set out to make a cookie that not only tastes delicious, but creates moments of joy that connects people,” founders Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald said. “25 years later, we’re thrilled to build on this heritage and to partner with Whole Foods Market to bring that joy to people across the country.
