Now, having a bite of any My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream doesn’t necessarily require opening a pint.

To help consumers get their quick fix, the Los Angeles-based company is unveiling its new single serving of mochi ice cream balls.

Available in packaging that is fully enclosed and compliant with FDA-labeling requirements, the product aims to help reduce food waste and spoilage that can occur with loose and unpackaged ice cream, the company said.

“Today's consumer is exceptionally aware of the issues surrounding food safety and food waste” Russell Barnett, CMO of My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, said. “Not only will the new individual packs give My/Mo a longer shelf life and reduce waste, but it will improve hygienic standards by eliminating the open exposure of the mochi to consumers. This is an important consideration during a time when food safety is top of mind for many Americans.”

The single-serve packs are available in such flavors as ripe strawberry, sweet mango, cookies and cream, and more.
