    LOS ANGELES — Skin by Monica, an all-natural line of skin and hair care products for women, men and babies, is expanding its distribution and will be available in select Walgreens locations in August.

    MINONG, Wis. — Jack Link's is paying tribute to the past with a new line of beef sticks and tender strips.

    Jack Link's Classics line is pre-priced and includes a 1.02-oz. original beef stick for 99 cents, two-for-$1 beef sticks in a 0.45-oz. size and a 2.5-oz. package of tender beef jerky strips for $2.99. The line also will feature vintage-inspired red, black and white packaging.

    Jack Link's Classics will be available at retailers nationwide.

    NEW YORK — A new line of biodegradable trash bags are looking to "dress the mess."

    DesignerLiners, unlike typical waste liners, feature 1-of-10 unique designs that are displayed on the inside of a bag so consumers can "dress the mess," the company said. The bags are available in a 12-pack or a bulk package of 100 bags, and each bag touts a 5-gal. to 6-gal. size.

  • Sandoz launches Syeda

    PRINCETON, N.J. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic oral contraceptive made by Sandoz, the company said Wednesday.

    Sandoz, the generics arm of Swiss drug maker Novartis, announced the launch of Syeda (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) tablets in the 3-mg/0.03-mg strength.

    The drug is a generic version of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals’ Yasmin. Yasmin and generic versions of the drug had sales of about $365 million during the 12-month period ended in April, according to IMS Health.

  • Johnsonville brings chicken sausage to product mix

    SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. — Johnsonville has introduced a line of chicken sausage that now is available in select retailers nationwide.

    The chicken sausage, which is available in apple, three-cheese Italian style and chipotle Monterey Jack varieties, provides consumers with better-for-you sausage options, Johnsonville said.

    Johnsonville chicken sausage is available in 12-oz. packages for a suggested retail price of $4.49.
