    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — As part of a competition between Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles to see which cereal is more popular with fans, Post Foods announced two professional American soccer players to grace its cereal boxes. Omar Gonzalez of the Los Angeles Galaxy will join WWE star John Cena on Team Fruity, while Olympic gold medalist and forward of the Portland Thorns, Alex Morgan, will join basketball star Kyrie Irving on Team Cocoa.

    SOMERSET, N.J. — Tic Tac mints, a brand from the Ferrero Co., on Tuesday announced the debut of limited edition Summer Ice Pop Tic Tac mints. The combination of blue berry-flavored pills, red cherry-flavored pills and white lime-flavored pills aims to offer consumers a nostalgic reminder of summertime, the company said.

  • SodaStream unveils new line of syrup concentrates

    AIRPORT CITY, Israel — SodaStream, a manufacturer and distributor of home beverage carbonation systems, last week announced SodaStream Free, a range of fruit-flavored syrup concentrates that allows consumers to make beverages at home. These syrups contain a fraction of the calories and sugar content of regular soft drinks, the company said.

     


  • Jubilant Life Sciences announces generic Aldacone, Namenda

    UTTAR PRADESH, India — Jubilant Life Sciences, an integrated pharmaceuticals and life sciences company, last week announced that it received approval from the Food and Drug Administration for spironolactone tablets, 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg, which is the generic version of Aldactone. The drug is used to treat fluid retention caused by congestive heart failure and cirrhosis of the liver.

    The market size for spironolactone tablets is $87 million per annum, according to IMS data. The company said it expects to launch the product in first quarter 2015.

  • Anoro Ellipta now available in retail pharmacies

    LONDON — GlaxoSmithKline and Theravance on Monday announced that Anoro Ellipta (umeclidinium and vilanterol inhalation powder), a once-daily that combines two long-acting bronchodilators in a single inhaler, is now available in retail pharmacies in the United States.

    Anoro Ellipta is used for long-term maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is not indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm or the treatment of asthma. The FDA-approved strength is umeclidinium/vilanterol 62.5/25-mcg.

    HORSHAM, Pa. — The Thomas' brand, a creator and baker of English Muffins, introduced it's flavor of the year: Cinnamon Vanilla. This is the only new flavor the company will offer in 2014.

    SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Johnson & Johnson on Monday hosted a 30-minute walk-through of the Johnson & Johnson Health & Wellness Experience. Over the course of the presentation, J&J executives showcased a number of consumer and corporate wellness initiatives implemented by J&J, including its Corporate Athlete Program, the 7-Minute Workout app, the Digital Health Scorecard app and the Care4today app.
