    STRATHAM, N.H — Lindt has announced a line of new offerings, including the company's signature Lindor truffles, just in time for Valentine's Day.

  • ScriptCycle expands solutions for retail pharmacies

    ASHEVILLE, N.C. — ScriptCycle, a technology company that serves pharmacies and patients, will launch its comprehensive cash solutions for retail pharmacies at the NACDS Regional Conference in February. The products aim to help pharmacies address challenges related to their cash prescription business, the company said.

    ScriptCycle said its business model has produced average per-store savings of $7,000 to $12,000 per year.

  • New York City Economic Development Corporation pledges $1 million to piloting health projects

    NEW YORK — New York City Economic Development Corporation and Health 2.0 last week announced the launch of the second annual Pilot Health Tech NYC, a program designed to dramatically increase innovation and collaboration within New York City’s health technology sector. Pilot Health Tech NYC helps pilot and advance new health technologies by partnering early-stage companies with key New York City healthcare service organizations and stakeholders - including hospitals, physician clinics, pharmaceutical companies, nursing associations, large employers and retailers.  

  • Coty signs fragrance partnership with musical artist Enrique Iglesias

    NEW YORK— Coty has partnered with singer and songwriter Enrique Iglesias to develop his own line of signature fragrances.

    The first fragrance is expected to be released in the summer of 2014.

  • Hi-Tech Pharmacal gets approval for bromfenac

    AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co., a specialty pharmaceuticals company, on Thursday announced that it was granted final approval from the Food and Drug Administration for bromfenac ophthalmic solution 0.09% (once-a-day), a generic version of ISTA Pharmaceuticals’ Bromday ophthalmic solution, 0.09%.

    The product is used to treat post-op inflammation and reduction of ocular pain in patients who have had cataract surgery. The company plans to launch the product immediately.

  • Gain reveals new detergent product

    CINCINNATI — Procter & Gamble’s Gain brand is now offering consumers Gain flings!, a single-use laundry pac. The detergent is available in two varieties, Original Scent and Moonlight Breeze — a new scent that Gain is adding to its laundry portfolio. The product will launch during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

  • Test kit that detects influenza A and B virus within 15 minutes launches in Europe

    WALTHAM, Mass. — Alere on Thursday announced the availability in Europe of the Alere i Influenza A & B test, a molecular test that detects and differentiates influenza A and B virus in less than 15 minutes. The test is now commercially available in Austria, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the U.K. 

  • Survey: Many social media users with health conditions willing to share health data

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Social media-savvy adults with health conditions would be willing to share their health data online if it helps clinicians improve care, helps other patients or advances medical research, according to a recent survey by PatientsLikeMe, a patient network and real-time research platform.
