  • Jelly Belly gets festive for St. Patrick's Day

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly Candy Co. makes more than 100 different flavors of jelly beans, but in celebration of St. Patrick's Day, it's showing some special attention to its green Jelly Belly beans. There are 17 green varieties in all, each containing its own special flavor.

       

  • Prasco begins distribution of doxercalciferol capsules

    CINCINNATI — Prasco Laboratories announced on Tuesday that it has started shipping the generic version of Hectorol (doxercalciferol) 0.5-, 1.0- and 2.5-mcg capsules, each in 50-count bottles under the Prasco label.

    Prasco entered into a distribution and supply agreement with Genzyme, a Sanofi company, for doxercalciferol capsules, the generic version of Hectorol 0.5-, 1.0- and 2.5-mcg capsules.
     

  • Zipnosis partners with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. and MINNEAPOLIS — Zipnosis, a virtual care service that provides online diagnosis and treatment for common medical conditions, has partnered with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System to begin offering online diagnosis and treatment.

    The academic medical center will begin using Zipnosis’ virtual care service this summer. The partnership with UAB marks Zipnosis’ first major step toward national expansion.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Blue Diamond Growers, an almond processing and marketing company, last week announced a new line of honey-flavored products across the Snack Almonds, Nut Thins and Almond Breeze brands. The line combines the sweetness of honey with different flavors to create a satisfying snack, the company said.

  • CandyRific introduces new novelty items

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — CandyRific has introduced two novelty items for spring. The Cinderella Light and Sound Wand with Candy, an extension of CandyRific’s princess line with Disney Consumer Products, features Cinderella in her classic blue ball gown on top of the wand, which makes a magical sound, lights up and includes .53-oz. of microbytes candy.

    A Spiderman Candy Fan also has been introduced, featuring Spidey atop a candy fan, which also includes .28-oz. tube of microbytes candy.
