  • Caress names singer Kelly Rowland as new 'Caress Fabulista'

    ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. — Unilever’s Caress brand named singer Kelly Rowland as one of this year's new Caress Fabulistas to help celebrate the launch of its new Caress Fresh body wash collection.

    The Caress Fabulistas also will include Adriana Castro, who is a handbag designer and founder of El Diario de la Moda.  Rowland and Castro will share seasonal style look books, plus tips and videos with fresh, on-trend beauty and style inspirations all year on the Caress Facebook page.

  • Drive Medical introduces Bariatric Rollator walker

    PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — Drive Medical on Tuesday introduced the Bariatric Rollator walker.

    The Bariatric Rollator features a 400-pound weight capacity and is extra-wide between the handles for more comfortable use. The 8-inch wheels are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. And the Bariatric Rollator includes a basket for carrying items. 

    Other features include a soft padded oversized seat and a tool-free removable padded backrest for comfort.

  • Perrigo launches store brand adult nutritional line

    DUBLIN — Perrigo on Wednesday announced that its Nutritionals segment is partnering with KanPak to manufacture store brand adult nutritional drinks comparable to Ensure products. KanPak is a supplier of beverages and desserts using aseptic processing technology.

  • Lay's Kettle Cooked announces new variety of chips

    PLANO, Texas — Lay's Kettle Cooked, a brand from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, introduced new Lay's Kettle Cooked Lattice Cut potato chips. The new snack is currently available nationwide in two varieties: aged cheddar and black pepper, and roasted garlic and sea salt.

  • Actavis, Valeant announce FDA approval for Metronidazole gel

    DUBLIN and LAVAL, Quebec — Actavis and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International announced that the Food and Drug Administration approved the new drug application for Metronidazole 1.3% vaginal gel.

    The antibiotic is used for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis, an infection caused by an imbalance in the normal bacteria of vagina. It's the most common vaginal infection in women ages 15 years to 44 years. Metronidazole 1.3% provides a single-dose treatment that is packaged in a pre-filled disposable applicator.

  • Sugar in the Raw gets new variety

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Cumberland Packing Corp.'s In the Raw sweetener brand announced Sugar in the Raw Organic White, an organic, unbleached cane sugar. National distribution is set to begin this month in leading grocers and specialty health food stores across the United States.
