  • Arctic Ease releases cooling compression wrap

    PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — Arctic Ease recently rolled out a new compression wrap that cools skin to an optimal healing temperature of just above 59 degrees F without ice or refrigeration. Arctic Ease relies on a proprietary thermodynamic technology that absorbs heat from the body using a patented blend of custom woven cotton substrates, water and inert materials that remain cool to the touch for three hours of therapy.

    MONTREAL — Homeolab is in the process of launching three chewable tablets for respiratory care: Real Relief Asthma Respiratory Care, Real Relief Asthma Nighttime and Real Relief Allergy. Retailing for a suggested S11.99, the homeopathic tablets help relieve symptoms associated with asthma, including gasping for air, difficulty breathing, wheezing, coughing and excess mucus. Since Primatene Mist had been pulled off the market at the end of 2012, there has not been a significant asthma care brand in the self-care space.

  • Jif whips up new peanut butter spreads

    ORRVILLE, Ohio — Jif Peanut Butter announced on Tuesday a new whipped flavor innovation to add to its line of peanut butter products.

    Jif Whips Peanut Butter Spread is a new smooth, fluffy spread that is whipped. It's a more ideal choice for dipping snacks and still provides as much versatility in snacking and spreading peanut butter on consumer favorites, like bagels or fruits, the company stated.

  • GSK puts chewy twist on traditional Tums

    PITTSBURGH — GlaxoSmithKline has successfully navigated three proton-pump inhibitor switches and still manages to grow its base. GSK's latest innovation is the Tums Chewy Delights, a non-chalky soft chew. Available in Very Cherry and Smooth Peppermint, the new Tums offering will be merchandised in both a 32-count bag and six-count sticks.

     

  • New KT Tape Pro features sweat-wicking synthetic blend

    OREM, Utah — After a successful launch last year, KT Tape recently expanded its core line of kinesiology tapes to KT Tape Pro, which features a synthetic blend vs. the original cotton blend. Endorsed by volleyball Olympian Kerri Walsh, the new blend helps to better wick away sweat, enabling extended use for between four and seven days.

  • Wellco debuts pain relief cream for irritated skin under the nose

    BUFFALO, N.Y. — Wellco Brands' debut product Healerz For Noses was selected for Walmart's Get On The Shelf contest earlier this year. The product is a pain relief cream targeted to soothe the delicate skin under the nose. The formula contains lidocaine for pain relief, benzalkonium chloride antiseptic to help guard against infection and aloe for its soothing properties.

  • Cirrus' EarPlanes for Kids make ear plugs fun

    COLD SPRING HARBOR. N.Y. — Cirrus Healthcare Products earlier this summer launched a new licensed version of EarPlanes for Kids in conjunction with the new Disney "Planes" movie. EarPlanes are designed to be worn for air travel to reduce and prevent uncomfortable ear pressure during flight, including clogging, popping and pain.
