    ORRVILLE, Ohio — Pillsbury is gearing up for Halloween with new seasonal varieties and baking kits.

  • Jelly Belly hopes to set market ablaze with Tabasco-flavored jelly beans

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — There's a hot new jelly bean in town.

    Jelly Belly announced its newest Tabasco-flavored jelly beans, which feature a peppery punch that hot sauce fans know and love, the company said. Hot sauce enthusiasts immediately will recognize the taste of red peppers, Avery Island salt and distilled vinegar, coupled with a subtle sweet undertone from the jelly bean itself.

    Tabasco Jelly Belly beans now are available to ship in 10-lb. bulk cases. The company also said it plans to release the new flavor in 3.1-oz. Grab and Go bags in December.

    PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — AccuDial Pharmaceutical earlier this year introduced five SKUs across its Children’s AccuDial Acetaminophen Oral Suspension, featuring one of the only weight-based dosing acetaminophen products with an interactive, rotating label. The single-ingredient products, indicated to help reduce fever in children, are timely for the coming cough-cold season. Children's AccuDial Acetaminophen Oral Suspension will retail for a suggested $4.99 and is available in five flavors: grape, dye-free cherry, cherry, bubble gum and strawberry. 

  • Yoplait debuts original, Greek frozen yogurt items

    LE MARS, Iowa — Yoplait is making its way to the frozen aisle.

    The yogurt brand has rolled out Yoplait original and Yoplait Greek frozen yogurt pints and bars. The frozen yogurt contains live and active cultures, real fruit and uses natural flavors, Yoplait said.

  • Walmart introduces new drug packaging

    NEWARK, N.J. — The Keystone Folding Box Co. has launched a pharmaceutical compliance packaging system that it said was environmentally sustainable, easy to use for elderly people and resistant to tampering by children.

    The company announced Wednesday that its Ecoslide-RX would soon arrive at Walmart pharmacies.

    "At Walmart, we are dedicated to quality patient care and have proven that adherence packaging assists in these endeavors," Walmart VP pharmacy merchandising Sandy Kinsey said.

  • RxMedic, HBS sign automated dispensing, software agreement

    RALEIGH, N.C. — A pharmacy automation equipment manufacturer has signed a deal with a company that makes pharmacy software.

    RxMedic Systems and Health Business Systems announced Tuesday that they had signed a preferred business partner agreement. The deal will allow users of HBS' RxAxis pharmacy software system to connect with RxMedic's dispensing technology, including its ADS robot, the companies said, allowing pharmacies to be more accurate, productive and profitable.

    OMAHA, Neb. — Egg Beaters is highlighting a classic breakfast combination in its latest product.

    Egg Beaters three cheese, made with real, all-natural egg whites and real Swiss, cheddar and provolone cheeses, offers a filling, flavorful breakfast without the extra cholesterol, fat or calories of shell eggs, Egg Beaters said. Each serving of Egg Beaters three cheese is 4 g of protein, less than 5 mg of cholesterol, less than 0.5 g of fat and 25 calories.
