NYX Professional Makeup has launched its initiative for Pride, which aims to educate individuals about what it means to be an ally to the LGBT community.

The “Proud Allies for All” movement, the Los Angeles-based company was able to hold a virtual march, allowing participants to share who they march for and nominating someone to join the march by doing the same.

In addition, a series of digital education videos were dropped by the beauty brand, which was created in partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Training curriculums covered by the videos include a breakdown of understanding basics about the LGBT community, how to correctly use pronouns when addressing members of the LGBT community, relevant information about resources and how to be an active advocate and ally to the community.

“NYX Professional Makeup has always been a brand that proudly champions and represents inclusivity,” Yann Joffredo, the global brand president said. “While we cannot physically come together to celebrate Pride, we are thrilled to bring the community together through our virtual initiatives, including the first-ever virtual Pride march and our thoughtfully developed ally educational resource platform.”

In addition, NYX Professional Makeup also donated more than $50,000 to global LGBTQ+ organizations, which were supported by a variety of activites including an exclusive streaming series on its e-commerce platform where $1 for every view was donated in a recent live tutorial.
