Primal Kitchen debuts vegan mayo containing avocado oil

Primal Kitchen is taking a step into the condiment aisle with its newest creation — vegan mayonnaise.

The Oxnard, Calif.-based company has launched its new Vegan Mayo Dip & Spread made with avocado oil.

Created without the use of canola oil, soybean oil, glutens, grains or sugar, the condiment is Non-GMO Project Verified, certified gluten-free, Whole30 Approved and keto friendly, the company said.

Available in three flavors — original, rosemary garlic and jalapeño lime — the mayonnaise also is free of eggs.

“Our Vegan Mayo uses potato protein, a functional ingredient, for emulsification. This unique differentiator makes our line paleo-friendly and Whole30 Approved, without using a legume-based emulsifier like pea protein or chickpea water,” said founder Mark Sisson. “There really isn't another vegan mayo out there that checks all the boxes and has a creamy, uncompromisingly delicious flavor.”

Primal Kitchen’s Vegan Mayo Dip & Spread comes in a 12-oz. size that retails for $9.99, and can be found in the refrigerated aisle at natural independent grocers and Whole Foods Market. It will launch at additional retailers nationwide throughout the year.
