Pringles Scorchin’ lineup packs heat

Pringles is adding an extra hint of spice to its newest collection of chips.

The latest launch from the Battle Creek, Mich.-based company is the Scorchin’ lineup, which consists of three varieties, including:

• Cheddar, which combines the flavors of cheddar cheese with a peppery kick;
• BBQ, which contains a smoky flavor, as well as a hint of sweetness and heat from cayenne pepper; and
• Chili and Lime, which features a tangy and citrus taste combined with the heat of chili pepper.

“We’ve launched spicy flavors in the past, but Pringles Scorchin’ is our first dedicated collection,” Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles said. “As we created this collection, we knew spice was important, but we also wanted to preserve the insanely accurate flavors our fans have come to expect from our products. I’m proud to say, we have succeeded on both fronts to offer the perfect balance of bold flavor and spicy heat that builds over time.”

Retailing for $1.99 per 5.5-oz. can, Pringles Scorchin’ lineup will be available through a limited release at retailers nationwide beginning in December. A full release, that includes grab and go sized packs, will be launching in 2021.
