Publix to open 2nd Kentucky location
Publix is growing its footprint in the state of Kentucky.
After previously opening up a location in the state’s Louisville neighborhood, the Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer shared that it will be opening up a second store in the same area.

Located at the northwest corner of Ballardsville Road and Brownsboro Road in Jefferson County, the supermarket will have a drive-thru pharmacy, as well as an adjacent Publix Liquors, the company said.
Expected to open in the first quarter of 2024, there is currently no grand opening date.
“We are proud to be planting roots in Jefferson County and look forward to building lifelong relationships with our new customers,” Publix CEO Todd Jones said. “With two planned stores currently in development, we are excited to continue sharing our Publix culture and commitment to service with the Bluegrass State.”

Currently, Publix operates 1,291 stores across the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
