Walgreens and Ohio-based health system TriHealth on Monday announced a plan to transfer seven of Walgreens’ existing company-managed clinics in the Cincinnati area to TriHealth.
Walmart is continuing to expand its clinical offerings while ensuring that pharmacists practice at the top of their license so that patients benefit by getting quality health care.
Walgreens is acquiring nine of Novant Health’s retail pharmacies and the North Carolina-based health system will be opening clinics inside Walgreens stores.
The expansion includes in-hospital delivery of patient prescriptions from a nearby Publix, as well as in-store telehealth centers at two of the retailer’s locations, the companies said.
