  • Accenture finds shift in shopper expectations for loyalty programs

    NEW YORK — Organizations are throwing away billions of dollars annually on customer loyalty programs that just don’t work like they used to.
     
    This was revealed in the Accenture report, “Seeing Beyond the Loyalty Illusion: It’s Time You Invest More Wisely.” The study gauges the experiences and attitudes of 25,426 consumers around the world about their current loyalty relationship with brands and organizations.
     
  • CVS’s MinuteClinic to provide free heart health screenings on Valentine’s Day

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is offering a special Valentine’s Day service for its customers. The retailer’s medical clinic on Tuesday is providing free “Know Your Numbers” heart health screenings at its more than 1,100 locations nationwide. Men and women who visit MinuteClinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. can receive a free heart health preventive screening to learn five key personal health numbers that can reduce their risk of heart disease: total cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index.

    CVS was specifically honored for taking actions in five key areas of health and wellness to fight cancer in the workplace, including: discouraging tobacco use; encouraging physical activity; promoting healthy diet and nutrition; detecting cancer at its earliest stages; and providing access to quality care.
