Silk is expanding its dairy-free beverage alternatives.

New to the Broomfield, Colo.-based company’s portfolio is a dairy-free half and half option that can be poured into coffee, teas and lattes among other beverages.

Using oat milk as part of its formulation, the product is plant-based, contains 0 g of added sugar, 1.5 g of fat, and does not contain dairy, nuts, artificial flavors or cholesterol, the company said.

“Silk is excited to expand its lineup of dairy-free options for those who want a splash of cream — without the 'moo' — in their morning brew,” Martha Opela, the senior brand manager for Silk said. “Silk dairy-free half and half alternative tastes great and supplies the creaminess you crave, without any dairy or added sugar, and it's hitting shelves at the perfect time — the thick of winter, when cozying up with a cup of coffee just feels right.”

In addition, Silk’s dairy-free half and half alternative is Non-GMO Project Verified and gluten-free, the company said.

Consumers can find a 32-oz. carton of the product at retailers nationwide for the suggested retail price of $4.29.
