Silk rolls out plant-based coffee creamers

New launches include vanilla latte almond creamer, salted caramel almond creamer and sweet oat latte creamer.

With more and more consumers adapting to a plant-based lifestyle, Silk is looking to cater to those needs by expanding its non-dairy offerings.

New from the brand are two plant-based creamers that contain protein content, the company said.

Available in three varieties, creamers consumers can choose from include:

  • Vanilla Latte Almond Creamer, made with a vanilla latte flavor, the beverage contains smooth and creamy almond milk, as well as 4 g of protein per a four-tablespoon serving;
  • Salted Caramel Almond Creamer, containing notes of salted caramel, it features smooth and creamy almond milk, as well as vitamin A and 4 g of protein per a four-tablespoon serving; and
  • Sweet Oat Latte Creamer, featuring the taste of a sweet latte, it is blended with a smooth oat milk creamer.

“More consumers are looking to the ‘better-for-you’ category for both great taste and convenience in food and beverage options,” said Amanda Simerman, senior director of plant-based and organic creamers. “New Silk Enhanced Almond Creamers are a delicious and easy way to add enhanced benefits to your morning brew.”

Silk’s enhanced creamers are Non-GMO Project verified, certified vegan and free from gluten, cholesterol, carrageenan and artificial colors and flavors, the company said.

Retailing for $4.49 per quart, Silk’s enhanced creamers are available at Walmart stores nationwide.
