Although skyn Iceland products are known best for their ability to help fight against the effects of stress on the skin, the brand is looking to help soothe worries on another troublesome area.

Arctic Repair Cream, the latest launch from the skin care brand, is its first full-body product that looks to provide immediate relief and soothing properties for skin that is cracked, flaky and dull.

Featuring such ingredients as nourishing phytonutrients, super hydrators, age-fighting antioxidants, Arctic algae and gooseberry extract, the cream aims to fortify the skin’s natural lipid barrier and aid it in retaining moisture, thus resulting in a more supple, balanced and relaxed state, the company said.

“With the industry changing so quickly and new innovations in ingredients, we are proud to kick off our recommitment to ensuring skyn Iceland has certified, clean and effective products that celebrate the powerhouse natural ingredients of Iceland,” Kelley Martin, chief marketing officer said. “The Arctic Repair Cream represents the clean standard we are striving for with all products. Over the next few years, we will be working to perfect formulations for all our existing products to prioritize these clean, healthy ingredients and lead the way in clean skincare.”

Other ingredients that aid in this skin repairing process include colloidal oatmeal, which soothes and helps reduce the appearance of redness and stress-induced aging, as well as Arctic oils rich in fatty acids that help nourish and protect against environmental stressors.

Packaged in a recyclable jar made from sugarcane, skyn Iceland’s Arctic Repair Cream retails for $42 and is currently available online at skyniceland.com. The cream will launch at Ulta.com on Oct. 4, and hit physical Ulta Beauty shelves on Oct. 11.
