Teja, a supplement brand created by and for teens, was founded by Sriteja Kataru, who was 13 years old, in January 2020 .
The brand came to fruition after Kataru attended a routine doctor’s visit that caused him to face an unexpected overweight issue, which began a health journey that eventually led to him creating a brand that empowers teens to take control of their well-being.
Kataru’s quest to transform his diet exposed the lack of healthy and flavorful snacks for teens. With a desire for better alternatives, using his kitchen as a lab and consulting by his mother (a physician herself), board-certified nutritionists and lifestyle medicine experts, he formulated supplements for immune system support, protein and fiber intake and enhanced post-sleep quality.

Teja’s guiding principle, “Everything in moderation”, is a gentle reminder that life’s sweetest joys can be part of a healthful journey when consumed judiciously. Their hero product, Teja Immunity Gummies contains natural herbs and fruit pectin and comes in four flavors—orange, strawberry, lemon and grape.
Packed with a unique micronutrient blend of vitamins C and D, and zinc, as well as such superfoods as acerola cherries, the offerings contain 5 g of sugar per serving and aid in reducing inflammation, as well as helping muscle recovery after exercise, the company said.
Driven by a passion for educating teens about the lifelong impact of lifestyle choices and collaborating with non-profits Healthier Kids Foundation and VTSeva, Teja has crafted a nationwide health workshop focusing on food, sleep, stress, and exercise—the core pillars of the brand’s mission.

Always looking for new ways to give back and make a positive impact, Teja donates a percentage of its profits to non-profit organizations aligned with the company’s mission of improving children’s health and well-being across the United States.
