Unfiltered Experience, Target Accelerators bring emerging beauty brands to the forefront

As a way to help emerging beauty brands bypass the increasing costs, as well as all the complexities involved in beauty entrepreneurship, The Unfiltered Experience is teaming up with Target Accelerators.

The Rising Stars Unfiltered Experience Online looks to not only sponsor up to 20 companies that will be participating in the three-part series virtual event but also provide one-on-one meetings with various Target Accelerators program managers, as well as social media influencers and experts.

Each event also will incorporate a mix of on-demand education, live general sessions and interactive workshops followed by virtual meetings across retail distribution, influence and scale categories, the companies said.

Founders of emerging BIPOC — black, indigenous and people of color — brands, as well as female founders, are being encouraged to apply for this program.

To do just that, applications will be open on Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST on the unfilteredexperience.com/target website.

Notifications will be sent the week of Oct. 12, on Oct. 24 applicants will receive notifications regarding meetings and next milestones, Oct. 27 will see selected companies given the opportunity to present to Target beauty buyers, and on Oct. 29 the Target Accelerators team meetings will take place, the company said.

Rising Star applicants also will be considered for the next round of 2021 Target Takeoff Beauty, which will have applications opening up at a later date in October.

The open call is only for beauty companies that are not currently selling to Target, the company said.
