Weleda adds Plumping, Rejuvenating lines to facial care offerings

Weleda’s portfolio is expanding in a major way. The brand announced the launch of two new lines—Plumping and Rejuvenating—that target an array of skin care concerns.

With its Plumping range, which features pomegranate seed oil and maca root peptides, consumers can expect to find products that look to support the skin’s renewal process and aid in improving elasticity to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

The five-product range includes:

  • Plumping Serum: The serum provides an immediate moisture boost that can help reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and contains aloe leaf juice and millet seed extract;
  • Plumping Day Cream: Designed to hydrate and plump the skin for a supple and smoother feeling, it is formulated with sunflower seed oil and macadamia nut oil for nourishment, as well as olive leaf extract and pomegranate;
  • Plumping Night Cream: The cream works to help support cell renewal for radiant and bouncy skin and is formulated to hydrate skin overnight. It is made with shea butter to help the skin’s barrier function and seed oils for firm and smooth skin;
  • Plumping Oil: The oil is made with an anti-pollution formula that promotes radiance for glowing and firmer-looking skin, and contains pomegranate seed oil for skin regeneration. The product uses avocado oil for its vitamins A and E to encourage cell renewal and reduction of redness; and
  • Plumping Eye & Lip: This product was created to hydrate the skin for a firmer-looking eye and lip area. It contains caffeine, green tea extract and pomegranate extract to reduce the appearance of puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles.

The Plumping range will be available exclusively online beginning Oct. 4, on Amazon starting Oct. 16 and at Whole Foods Market in August 2024.

The second new line addition—Rejuvenating—is formulated to mimic the effect that natural collagen has on the skin. It also works to reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and aid in sharpening the look of facial contours.

Containing blue gentian, edelweiss and cica, the ingredients work together to help with protection from premature aging and strengthen the skin barrier, the brand noted.

Consisting of three products, the new launches include:

  • Rejuvenating Serum: Incorporated with aloe vera, it works to help build a protective layer on the skin to retain moisture, as well as betaine to support the absorption and release of water. The serum also can help in balancing pigmentation and making skin appear firmer;
  • Rejuvenating Day Cream: Formulated to provide skin with intense moisture, it also works to help skin feel firmer and brighten complexions. Made with cica and olive leaf extract, it also helps protect against free radicals; and
  • Rejuvenating Night Cream: Made to provide the effect of an overnight skin repair, it hydrates the skin overnight and supports the balancing of skin pigmentation and aids in brightening tones. Containing shea flower, sunflower oil, wheat germ with vitamin E, and cocoa seed butter, it also helps skin barrier function and smoothing.

The Rejuvenating range will be available exclusively online beginning Oct. 4, on Amazon starting Oct. 16 and at Whole Foods Market in August 2024.
