YouCam Makeup launches web component with Fyfe Beauty partnership

YouCam Makeup is expanding how consumers access its virtual beauty offerings with its new web component.

The YouCam for Web tech solution was created to help indie beauty brands leverage the power of artificial intelligence and augmented reality innovations to drive their businesses, the company said.

In addition, news of the web component launch comes on the heels of the company’s newest collaboration with Jillian Dempsey’s Fyfe Beauty — the first indie beauty brand to collaborate with YouCam’s virtual makeup try-on simulations.

“It’s been a dream of mine to bring the ability to test, play and virtually try on makeup to the world. To offer the convenience of being one click away from your new look," said Jillian Dempsey, Fyfe beauty founder and celebrity makeup artist. "I am honored to be the first indie beauty brand to partner with YouCam technology and bring my favorite makeup looks to anyone with a phone. This is a new arena for me and I’m having the best time taking my professional experience and sharing it with the digital world."

Features part of the YouCam for Web includes the ability to virtually try-on 100 makeup SKUs across the lipstick, blush, eyeliner and eyeshadow categories, as well as website template designs for the iFrame module for before and after split-screen comparisons, the company said.

“The modern-day consumer craves personalized experiences. With YouCam for Web, we are offering an affordable alternative to emerging brands who want to tap into the power of advanced beauty tech and provide makeup virtual try-ons to meet the demand for a consumer-centric shopping journey,” Perfect founder and CEO Alice Chang said. “Our partnership with Jillian Dempsey combines unique YouCam for Web capabilities with Jillian’s meticulously curated user experience within Fyfe Beauty App, delivering the interactive, personalized, and experiential shopping journey the modern-day consumer craves.”
