New USDA-certified organic bath and body collection to launch exclusively at Whole Foods

AUSTIN, Texas — Sensible Organics, a maker of organic personal care products and one of the first beauty care companies to receive the U.S. Department of Agriculture national organic certification, has announced that it will launch its Nourish Organic Food for Healthy Skin brand at Whole Foods stores nationwide.



Nourish is among the first personal care brands to offer 100% USDA certified organic formulations offered in distinctive scents made of The Nourish collection scents include fresh fig, almond vanilla, lavender mint and wild berries. 



“We are motivated to be leading the industry in establishing the new gold standard for organic bath and body care,” Sensible Organics president and CEO Rick Ruffolo said. “Our objective with Nourish is to bring innovation to the market by making true USDA certified organic personal care products accessible and attractive to everyone. We are thrilled to unite with Whole Foods Market as our exclusive national retail partner to debut this collection.”
 



Nourish products are formulated and manufactured in the United States and only use organic ingredients that are grown, raised, harvested and processed without the use of synthetics, irradiation, chemicals, preservatives, GMOs or pesticides. Nourish products offer proprietary formulas that are a chemical-free alternative and exclude the use of all parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or preservatives, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, EDTA and aluminum, the company stated. The products also are cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan. Nourish pledges its purity by displaying all of its seals and badges directly on its packaging.

Nourish is offering 100% USDA certified organic personal care and beauty products that are affordable, effective and luxurious. We hope more brands follow this lead.”



Sensible Organics was acquired in September 2011 by the Renewal2 Investment Fund, a social venture fund that has invested in some of North America’s top environmental and social mission businesses. Renewal2 has been an early backer of several natural and organic consumer brands, such as Seventh Generation and Stonyfield Farm yogurts, among others.


 
Nourish will be available for purchase at Whole Foods in the summer and will expand its distribution with additional products later in the year.
