  • P&G unites innovation with value for multipronged campaign

    NEW YORK In response to a national survey, which found that many women often are disappointed with their purchase of household products and desire more product innovation, Procter & Gamble has developed the multipronged “Have You Tried This Yet?” campaign as a way to highlight the manufacturer’s newer, more unique products. As part of the campaign, P&G opened to the public on Oct. 22 an interactive pop-up store in New York to drive awareness and product trials.

  • Dr Pepper Snapple Group moves to head of class

    PLANO, Texas Dr Pepper Snapple Group has earned high marks among American consumers in a newly released customer satisfaction index.

    According to the Michigan-based American Customer Satisfaction Index, out of 100 points, Dr Pepper Snapple Group scored an 85 — the highest among rival soft-drink makers. Dr Pepper Snapple Group also is the smallest soft-drink maker, and is in a position it has held or shared for the past five years.

    PepsiCo’s satisfaction also fell, down 2% to 84, and now ties the unchanged score of Coca-Cola.

  • New Greenies dog treats boost joint health

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. A new line of dog treats is designed to maintain dogs' healthy mobility.

    Greenies JointCare Treats are for daily use and help to protect the mobility of adult dogs of all ages and sizes by nourishing healthy joints. The treats contain green-lipped mussel, which reportedly have a beneficial effect on canine joint health. Such nutrients found in green-lipped mussel include omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins E and C, glucosamine, chondroitin and other amino acids.

  • Whoa, baby! Bazooka expands one brand's line

    NEW YORK Confectioner Bazooka announced it is extending its Baby Bottle Pop line to include rattle-shaped lollipops.

    Debuting in Berry Blast and strawberry flavors, Baby Bottle Pop Rattlerz rattle just like the infant toy and makes noise when shaken.

    “The rattle-like, whimsical shape and sound of Rattlerz encourages consumers to let loose and have fun, which is what the Baby Bottle Pop brand is all about,” said John Budd, VP marketing at Bazooka.

    Bazooka is a division of The Topps Co.

  • P&G's 'Have You Tried This Yet?' campaign comes to life

    CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble is showcasing products that meet consumers' everyday needs with its newest initiative.

    With more consumers concerned over the cost of household products, P&G created the "Have You Tried This Yet?" campaign, which will reach consumers nationwide with handouts, product samples and even a P&G BrandSaver coupon booklet. Such P&G brands as Bounty and Olay will be featured in the campaign.

  • Odwalla gets PlantBottle packaging

    HALF MOON BAY, Calif. Odwalla is getting greener.

    By March 2011, all of the brand’s single-serve bottles will tote PlantBottle packaging. The new Odwalla package, which will be 100% recyclable, will help to reduce dependence on nonrenewable resources, the company said.
