Dole is looking to continue to change the way consumers get their daily dose of fruit.
The Westlake Village, Calif.-based company announced the launch of its new Fridge Packs line, a collection of shelf stable packaged fruit in containers that snap, stack and can easily be stored in the fridge.
"Shoppers around the country told us they love the way simply adding fruit makes everyday meals special," Brad Bartlett, the president of Dole Packaged Foods, saod. "Our new Dole Fridge Packs elevate the experience, with clear containers that let you see the delicious fruit inside. Plus, they're stackable for easy storage in the fridge or pantry, and the snap-shut lids allow you to enjoy a portion and keep the rest in the fridge for later."
Available in a 15-oz. package, varieties include — pineapple chunks, mandarin oranges, peach slices and mixed fruit.
In addition, each pack contains all-natural fruit juice, 3.5-oz. servings of fruit and 80 to 90 calories per serving. The fruit also is naturally gluten-free, contains vitamin C, is non-GMO and packaging is BPA-Free, the company said.
