Ethique debuts shampoo, conditioner bars for curly hair

Ethique is not only tackling the needs of those with curly tresses but doing so in an environmentally friendly manner.

New from the brand is a solid shampoo bar and a conditioner bar that also is a 2-in-1.

Containing such ingredients as shea butter to nourish and moisturize tresses without leaving behind a heavy or greasy feeling and cocoa butter for a protective barrier and castor oil, the products look to also not strip hair of any moisture, the company said.

Featuring a formula that is free of waxes, silicones, sulfates, palm oil and drying alcohols, the new launches include:

• Professor Curl Shampoo, a pH-balanced shampoo that cleanses hair without drying out curls. Crafted with such ingredients as shea butter, betaine from sugar beets and cocoa butter, the shampoo also looks to promote soft hair and hydrated curls; and
• Curliosity Conditioner and Co-Wash, a concentrated product that cleanses and conditions hair without drying curls or weighing them down. Made with such ingredients as shea butter, jojoba and cocoa butter, it looks to leave hair soft and curls defined. Also containing castor oil to get rid of oil without bubbles, the product can be used as a solid conditioner, co-wash and leave-in conditioner.
