Herbal Essences is executing its “Renew the Forest” campaign for the second year in a row.
Inspired by the brand’s idea of the positive power of plants and nature in one’s individual life, the initiative is part of Herbal Essences’ sustainability issues, which include a responsibility to protect the planet, the company said.

This year, the program is spreading across more than 30 states, and in partnership with Meijer and Albertsons, the beauty brand is dedicated to planting at least 8,000 trees.
To help further increase Herbal Essences’ efforts, for every two bottles of select bio:renew products sold at local retailers and online, the brand will plant one additional tree, with a total of up to 20,000 trees.
In addition, the brand is working with the Royal Botanic Garden Kew to certify the real ingredients used in the bio:renew collection.

Herbal Essences said that aside from being PETA cruelty-free, it will encourage recycling with on-pack “How 2 Recycle” notes, as well as continue to offer a national recycling program across the United States via an ongoing partnership with TerraCycle.
Herbal Essences’ “Renew the Forest” initiative will be active through April 23 at Meijer and from April 27 to May 21 at Albertsons.
