La Roche-Posay aims to tackle consumers’ acne and antiaging concerns in one targeted treatment.
The latest from the skin care brand is its Effaclar Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Serum, which is formulated to target adult acne with a triple acid complex — a blend of 1.5% salicylic acid, glycolic acid and lipo hydroxy acid.

Designed to clear acne blemishes while also working to help prevent new ones, the product’s formula targets acne at its source — microcomedones caused by sebaceous ducts and pore openings that become blocked by excess sebum and dead skin cells, the company said.
“Many of the patients I see with adult acne struggle to find a product to not only help with breakouts but also other concerns as well, including skin texture, post-acne marks and enlarged pores,” said Julie Harper. “The Effaclar Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Serum not only treats acne but also the signs of aging, working to visibly reduce pores, fine lines and post-acne marks.”
