For 2022, Lay’s is looking to bring some brand-new innovation to the chip aisle.
The Plano, Texas-based company, which is part of PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division, announced the launch of a new chip line — Lay’s Layers.

These multidimensional potato bites contain a layer of crispiness and deliver flavor with each and every bite, the company said.
“Lay’s fans are known for finding joy in the every day — no matter what life throws their way – and this multi-faceted approach to life helped inspire Lay’s Layers,” Melissa Miranda, senior director of marketing at Frito-Lay North America said. “Lay’s Layers is a new offering in the Lay’s portfolio that is just as multi-dimensional and flavorful as our fans’ lifestyles.”

Available flavors will include — three cheese, a blend of cheddar, parmesan and gouda flavors; and sour cream and onion, a blend of onion and sour cream flavors.
Consumers will be able to find both flavors of Lay’s Layers at retailers nationwide in beginning mid-January in a 4.75-oz. bag that retails for $4.09 and 1.75-oz. bag for $1.99.
