  • Beiersdorf introduces Nivea Lip Butter

    WILTON, Conn. — Beiersdorf has introduced its new Nivea Lip Butter line, which includes shea butter and almond oil, the beauty product company said.

    Nivea Lip Butter, which retails for $3.99, is available in four flavors: Raspberry Rose Kiss, Caramel Cream Kiss, Vanilla and Macadamia Kiss and Smooth Kiss. Beiersdorf said the shea butter was designed to increase the skin's suppleness and elasticity, while the almond oil was to help soften and smooth the skin.

  • Blistex launches two new lip balms as cold front advances through Northeast

    OAK BROOK, Ill. — Blistex on Thursday announced the launch of Moisture Melt and Simple and Sensitive lip balms. Moisture Melt features suspended soft beads of aloe and shea butter, while Blistex Simple and Sensitive contains six essential ingredients to provide moisturization without irritation from added dyes or fragrances. 

  • Latest Carmex art project: '365 Days of Lip Service'

    MILWAUKEE — Carma Labs earlier this year teamed with mixed media artist Lisa Pavelka to launch 365 Days of Lip Service, a collection of artwork created on the lids of 366 Carmex lip balm jars.

    “We were thrilled to learn about the project and Lisa’s long-held preference for using the Carmex jar in her artistic creations,” stated Paul Woelbing, president of Carma Labs. “Carmex fans know that, in addition to being a great lip balm, we are dedicated to fun and inspiration. This is a great way to help us celebrate Carmex’s 75th anniversary.”

  • New Softlips Gloss offers shine, SPF protection

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Mentholatum has announced the launch of its new Softlips Gloss line in pearl and coral shades.

    This line extension expands on the Softlips "So You." campaign, which was launched last year with new packaging graphics, an updated logo, Facebook efforts and a new ad campaign.

    With the popularity of lip gloss on the rise, the company stated that it wanted to provide its current lip balm and tint users, along with potential new Softlips consumers, with the option of color, SPF and shine in one product.

  • Carma Labs intros new daily lip conditioner and pomegranate lip balm

    LAS VEGAS — Carma Labs last week featured two new products at the ECRM Cough & Cold and Allergy EPPS.

    The company introduced an orange-flavored Carmex creamy lip conditioner formulated with 13 moisturizers, including cocoa butter, and its Carmex ultra moisturizing lip balm now is available in a pomegranate flavor.
