Nature’s Garden is adding several new additions to its line of functional snacks.
The Totowa, N.J.-based company announced the launch of a new line of probiotic-enhanced dried fruits.

Formulated with 5 billion live cultures, the products use a patented micro-encapsulation system that contains S.Boulardii and L.Rhamnosus probiotics, which have been shown to help improve digestive well-being and aid in improving the restoration of healthy gut bacteria, the company said.
Available varieties now include mixed berries, tart cherries, raisins, cranberries, dates and prunes, as well as the previously launched probiotic apricots.

Made without the use of fat, cholesterol, sodium or added sugar, the products contain between 100 to 140 calories per serving and 3 g of fiber, the company said.
Currently, the apricot variety comes in a 40-oz. size, while tart cherries come in a 20-oz. size and the dates, prunes, cranberries, raisins and mixed berries are sold in 12-oz. sizes.
