    The Soho brand, which is known for its soft-sided cosmetic bags and beauty cases, highlighted at NACDS Marketplace its new collection of ergonomically designed makeup brushes for the mass market.

    For spring 2012, Soho will release the 18-piece collection of brushes that was developed in partnership with makeup artists and designers.

  • +MD Wellness Gel Spa Socks

    +MD Wellness showcased its line of Gel Spa Socks that help moisturize and heal conditions like eczema, psoriasis and cracked, dry skin. Selling for a suggested $13.99, the gel is a thermoplastic rubber that does not disintegrate with use like many silicone products. The TPR gel also is hypoallergenic, absorbs shock and is washable and reusable. The yarn content in the body of the sock is 80% cotton, 18% polyester and 2% spandex. The socks are available in blue and pink colors.

Now coming to the U.S. market, I Love … is a brand that plays off the fragrances of childhood with body and bath products that really do smell good enough to eat. Fragrances include, but are not limited to, Strawberries & Milkshake, Vanilla & Ice Cream, Coconut & Cream and Raspberry & Blackberry. New members to the family include Blueberry & Smoothie, Juicy Watermelon and Tropical Paradise.

    Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula is a well-known skin care brand among consumers, and now the company is making its foray into the men’s grooming market with a formula for men. According to the manufacturer, men have different skin care needs than women and often suffer from rough, dry skin that increases in severity with age. To help him, there’s the new Men Body & Face formula designed to battle rough, dry skin. The fast-absorbing formula is made with cocoa butter and vitamin E and has a fresh scent.

  • Kraft sneaks cauliflower into classic dish

    NORTHFIELD, Ill. — Kraft Foods is adding a vegetable to its popular Macaroni & Cheese dish.

    The brand's Kraft Dinner Smart line is made with a blend of cauliflower and wheat, and contains a one-half serving of veggies in every helping. Kraft said that the mild color and flavor of cauliflower allows it to taste "just like original Kraft Dinner."

    The Macaroni & Cheese items are available in original and three-cheese varieties.

  • Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max Liquids

    Reckitt Benckiser has launched a liquid formulation of its popular Mucinex brand to help fight coughs and colds in the coming season called Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max Liquids. The four new formulations combine the mucus-busting power of Mucinex with maximum-strength medicines for multisymptom relief. Two of the formulations contain acetaminophen to relieve fever and pain, three contain dextromethorphan as a cough suppressant and three contain the antihistamine phenylephrine. Maximum Strength Mucinex Fast-Max Liquid products are indicated for ages 12 years and older.

  • Van's Natural Foods introduces muffin crowns, waffle sticks

    VERNON, Calif. — Van's Natural Foods has rolled out two frozen breakfast items that aim to please the whole family.

    Van's muffin crowns and waffle sticks offer families a nutritious alternative to processed frozen breakfast items, the company said. The muffin crowns, which are 120 calories or less per serving, provide 6 g of fiber and 3 g of protein. Van's muffin crowns are available in Triple Chocolate and Wild Blueberry flavors.

    Pharmavite’s newest product, Nature Made Krill Oil, offers a new source of omega-3 fatty acids in addition to a naturally occurring antioxidant called astaxanthin. The algae that krill eat produce the bright-red pigment astaxanthin that gives krill and other crustaceans, such as lobster and shrimp, their reddish-pink color. The Krill Oil comes in a small, easy-to-swallow soft-gel capsule and offers an alternative source of omega-3 fatty acids without a fishy burp or aftertaste. Each soft gel delivers 90 mg of omega-3 and 75 mg of phospholipids. Suggested retail price is $24.99.
