  • Braun Satin Hair brush makes U.S. debut

    CINCINNATI — Following a European launch in 2009, Braun, a member of the P&G beauty and grooming family of brands, has announced the availability of the Braun Satin Hair brush in the United States.

    Braun Satin Hair brush makes its exclusive debut in the United States on QVC on July 12. The brush has a suggested retail price of $65.

    The battery-operated Braun Satin Hair brush combines Braun's Active Ion Technology, ­ which promises to give hair smoothness and shine, ­ with its Seamless Bristle Technology.

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly has unveiled its latest Chocolate Dips product.

    The brand's new mint chocolate Dips pairs together dark chocolate and the refreshing taste of mint, with each serving just under 4 calories.

    The gluten-free, gelatin-free and certified Orthodox Union dairy kosher candies, which also come in Very Cherry, raspberry, strawberry, coconut and orange varieties, are available nationwide in bulk and 2.8-oz bags, as well as a 4.15-oz. gift box that showcases five flavors.

  • Watson seeks FDA approval for generic Vyvanse

    PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Watson Pharmaceuticals has filed with the Food and Drug Administration for regulatory approval for a drug to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, the company said Thursday.

    Watson said it submitted its application for lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules, a generic version of Shire’s Vyvanse.

  • Goldfish sandwich bread looks to appeal to kids, young at heart

    NORWALK, Conn. — Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish brand is diving into a new category.

    Known for its iconic cracker snacks, the brand has brought the Goldfish shape to a line of sandwich bread, available in soft white, soft 100% whole wheat and soft honey-wheat varieties. The crust-free breads are designed to please the pickiest of sandwich eaters, both young and old, Pepperidge Farm said.

  • American Regent launches generic Xalatan

    SHIRLEY, N.Y. — American Regent has launched a generic drug for relieving pressure inside the eye, the company said.

    American Regent announced the availability of latanoprost ophthalmic solution in the 0.005% strength.

    The drug is a generic version of Pfizer’s Xalatan and is used to treat such conditions as glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
