  • White peach scent added to Dial's NutriSkin lineup

    NEW YORK — Henkel's Dial brand has launched for 2011 the new Dial NutriSkin white peach and shea butter body wash with seven bionutrients.

    The formula has a white peach fragrance and is infused with such ingredients as vitamin C and E (antioxidant ingredients), omega-3 and 6 (moisture balance), amino acids (builds moisture), electrolyte minerals and mineral water.

    The new Dial NutriSkin white peach and shea butter body wash with seven bionutrients has a suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 16-oz. bottle and $4.99 for a 21-oz. bottle.

  • The Natural Baby Co. to showcase products at show

    BOZEMAN, Mont. — A manufacturer of natural baby care products will display its lineup at this year's New York International Gift Fair next week.

    The Natural Baby Co., known for its eco-conscious diaper brand, GroVia, also will familiarize visitors of the show with Denmark-based brand Hevea, a creator of pacifiers, teethers and bath toys. The Natural Baby Co. is Hevea's sole U.S. distributor.

  • Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal hits U.S. store shelves

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A Kellogg's cereal that has had success in the United Kingdom is making its way across the Atlantic to U.S. consumers.

    Kellogg's U.S. launch of Crunchy Nut cereal is being supported by the company's latest campaign, "It's Morning Somewhere." The campaign will include television, online and in-store advertising. One of the biggest showcases will be a consumer event featuring a large cuckoo clock to celebrate all time zones, the company said.

  • Colgate-Palmolive sales decline, new products slated to launch this year

    NEW YORK — Colgate-Palmolive, which posted a dip in North American sales during the fourth quarter, experienced share gains in oral care and has outlined new product launches planned for 2011.

    North American sales declined 2% during the fourth quarter as unit volume increased 1.5% with 4% lower pricing and 0.5% positive foreign exchange. Organic sales slipped 2.5%. North America operating profit decreased 8% during the quarter, driven by increased promotional investments and higher material costs, partially offset by cost-savings initiatives.

  • Medela launches iBreastfeed app

    McHENRY, Ill. — Looking to provide breast-feeding mothers with helpful information and advice, Medela has launched a free mobile application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

    Medela's iBreastfeed app features a locator to find breast-feeding and breast pumping-friendly places, a breast-feeding resource guide and a baby activity log, where moms and caregivers can manage babies' daily activities.

  • Matrix obtains license agreement for HIV treatment

    PITTSBURGH — A Mylan subsidiary has inked a nonexclusive license agreement with Tibotec Pharmaceuticals to manufacture, market and distribute a generic version of an HIV treatment.

    Pending the regulatory approval of TMC278 (rilpivirine hydrochloride), Matrix Labs will have the right to manufacture once-daily 25-mg TMC278 as a single-agent medicine and a fixed-dose combination product, Mylan said. Matrix also will be able to market the drug in sub-Saharan Africa, certain developing countries and India.

  • Drank makes it way to the Carolinas

    HOUSTON — Drank has expanded its distribution to the Carolinas.

    The makers of Drank, Innovative Beverage Group Holdings, said that Adam's Beverage, an independent distributor, will bring the relaxation beverage to North Carolina, as well as to additional cities in South Carolina.

    Drank hit the market in early 2008.

    DEERFIELD, Ill. — Australian winemaker Daryl Groom and Walgreens have launched a new table wine blend in line with American Heart Month.
