  • Feel the love with 'A Charlie Brown Valentine'

    BURBANK, Calif. Love is in the air for the Peanuts gang.

    Warner Home Video is slated to release "A Charlie Brown Valentine" on Jan. 4, 2011, at retailers nationwide. In this Peanuts primetime special, Charlie Brown and his pals may be unlucky in love, but they are fortunate in friendship in this heartfelt holiday treat.

    The DVD will feature a bonus special titled "Someday You’ll Find Her, Charlie Brown" and will retail for a suggested retail price of $14.97.

  • Vicks Starry Night humidifier hits retail shelves

    NEW YORK Kaz on Tuesday announced the launch of its Vicks Starry Night humidifier, a product that releases cool moisture into the air for temporary relief of congestion and coughs, and features a built-in, independently controlled projector so that parents have the option to turn off the lights once their child has fallen asleep without turning off the humidifier altogether.

     

    With the Vicks Starry Night humidifier, parents will be able to create a virtual galaxy on their child's bedroom ceiling.

     

     

  • Changing Channels: Home Depot sheds some light

    ATLANTA —National hardware chain The Home Depot is selling energy-efficient LED bulbs that are affordable and fit in a standard socket.

    The chain is selling the bulbs for $19.97 under the EcoSmart brand. By comparison, 60-watt and 100-watt LED bulbs sold for $90 and $360, respectively, just two years ago. The new bulbs, manufactured by Lighting Science Group, available online and will be available in all of Home Depot’s U.S. stores by the end of the month.

  • Bear-ing it all

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg’s Bear Naked brand, which includes premium granola, trail mix and granola bars, has entered the cookie category. The company has added Pure & Natural soft-baked granola cookies to its lineup of products.

    Available in two flavors—double chocolate and fruit and nut—the cookies are minimally processed and made without preservatives, artificial flavors and trans fats. The cookies offer 10 g of whole grains with no cholesterol, hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup.

  • Lil' Drug Store Products introduces RepHresh Brilliant tampons

    NEW YORK Lil' Drug Store Products has launched a "brilliant" feminine protection product.

    New RepHresh Brilliant tampons reduce the pH increase that occurs during a woman's period.

    "In healthy women, vaginal pH is typically 3.5 to 4.5 and blood has a pH of 7.4, so during a woman's period, pH is elevated by menstrual fluids. Tampons retain the fluids that cause pH to increase. RepHresh Brilliant is the first tampon clinically shown to reduce the usual pH increase," said Lauren Streicher, assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology.
