    SAN DIEGO — Real Health Labs recently launched Prostate Complete Once Per Day, a pharmaceutical-grade supplement combination, the company stated. 

    In addition to zinc, selenium and vitamin E, Prostate Complete Once Per Day is formulated with a standardized saw palmetto extract, lycopene, a standardized curcumin extract, resveratrol and a pomegranate concentrate.

    LOS ANGELES — Maloof Ventures announced on Friday the launch of Never Hungover at GNC. Never Hungover is a dietary supplement that is comprised of a natural vitamin blend, antioxidants, amino acids, nutrients and minerals packaged as a 2-oz. serving. 

    The hangover shot is designed to take up to an hour before or while consuming alcohol, and experiences optimal results when taking one bottle per four drinks. 

  • FDA approves generic hypertension pill made by Actavis

    DUBLIN — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a generic drug for high blood pressure made by Actavis, the company said Friday.

    Actavis announced the approval of telmisartan immediate-release tablets in the 20-mg, 40-mg and 80-mg strengths, which it intends to release immediately.

  • Lindt announces new premium chocolates

    STRATHAM, N.H. — Lindt and Sprungli has introduced a bevy of new premium chocolate offerings, with flavor combinations ranging from sweet-and-salty to milk chocolate. 

    The new product offerings include Lindor Coconut truffles, Classic Recipe Caramel with Sea Salt bars, special additions to the Lindt Chocolate Specialties line, and the first-ever Lindt Brownie Mixes.

  • FDA approves combination of two GSK drugs for skin cancer

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved two drugs made by GlaxoSmithKline for use together in patients with advanced melanoma that can't be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of the body, the agency said Friday.

    The FDA announced the new approval for Mekinist (trametinib) and Tafinlar (dabrafenib). The agency originally approved the two drugs for use as single agents for the same indication in May 2013.

  • FDA approves liquid form of Merck HIV drug Isentress for infants, small children

    WHITEHOUSE STATION, N.J. — The Food and Drug Administraiton has approved a liquid formulation of an HIV drug made by Merck, the company said.

    Merck announced the approval of Isentress (raltegravir) for oral suspension, aimed at small children with HIV. The drug may be used by patients as young as four weeks, and the full line of formulations of Isentress now includes the orlal suspension, as well as chewable tablets and film--coated tablets. The company plans to launch the oral suspension in the third quarter of this year.
