  • Panasonic develops new gel nail polish remover for at-home use

    LAS VEGAS — Panasonic announced on Monday the introduction of the ES-WC30 Gel Nail Polish Remover. 

    The product is an extension to the line of recently launched compact beauty products, which includes the Precision Body Shaver, Precision Facial Hair Trimmer, Heated Eyelash Curler and Compact Battery-Powered Toothbrush.

  • Prasco launches authorized generic version of Lysteda

    CINCINNATI, Ohio — Drug maker Prasco Labs has launched an authorized generic version of a drug used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding, the company said Monday.

    Prasco announced the launch of tranexamic acid tablets in the 650 mg strength, an authorized generic version of Ferring Pharmaceuticals' Lysteda. Authorized generics are branded drugs marketed under their generic names at a discount, usually through third-party companies, to compete with Food and Drug Administration-approved generics.

    LAS VEGAS — Panasonic announced new models to their 2013 lineup at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show. With these new items, Panasonic hopes to broaden their appeal and functionality with a wide array of styles to choose from.

    "With the Panasonic 2013 lineup of headphones we aimed to create unique styles and form factors that have mass appeal while providing music lovers and true audio enthusiasts the ultimate in sound quality and design," said Tom Hantson, Product Category Manager, Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America.

    PARIS — Sanofi on Monday announced that its U.S. Consumer Healthcare Division Chattem, completed the acquisition of the worldwide rights to the Rolaids brand from McNeil Consumer Healthcare for an undisclosed amount.

  • FDA approves new delivery method for MS drug

    NEW YORK — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new means of administration for a multiple sclerosis drug, the manufacturers said.

    Pfizer and EMD Serono announced the approval of Rebif Rebidose (interferon beta-1a), a single-use auto-injector for self-administering Rebif, used to treat relapsing forms of MS. EMD Serono is the U.S. division of German drug maker Merck KGaA, so-named to avoid confusion with U.S.-based Merck & Co.

  • Disney sets home release dates for animated adventure 'Wreck-It Ralph'

    NEW YORK — Walt Disney Animation Studios announced the debut of the hit arcade-game-hopping adventure “Wreck-It Ralph." Disney will release an HD digital and HD digital 3D version early on February 12, 2013, a company first. Then on March 5, the company will broaden the release to the four-disc Blu-ray combo pack, two-disc Blu-ray combo pack, DVD, SD digital and On-Demand.
