  • Walkers Shortbread unveils new Hanukkah item

    HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. — Walkers Shortbread is debuting a new product that commemorates the Festival of Lights.

    The company said its Mini Festive Stars for Hanukkah are a complementary addition to Walkers' collection of holiday-themed shortbread cookies.

  • Nordic Naturals overhauls labeling system for professional product line

    WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Nordic Naturals on Tuesday rolled out a brand new look across its professional product line with a new classification system to better assist selection.

    "These labels have been developed with input from professional healthcare practitioners in mind," Nordic Naturals chief medical officer Keri Marshall said. "With more than 40 professional products, our new label design will make dosing and product selection convenient for the practitioner, and ensure the best possible experience for patients."

    Body wash ($3.47): The Adidas Hair & Body 3 provides triple-action results: It cleanses, refreshes and conditions. It is available in three After Sport, Extra Fresh and Active Start scents.

  • Nature's Own launches Oatmeal Toasters

    THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Nature's Own has introduced a new line of breakfast items.

    Oatmeal Toasters are made with whole grains and real oats and studded with sweet fruit. Each square offers 4g of fiber and 20 g of whole grain and is available in cinnamon raisin and cranberry orange flavors.

  • HDesign launches toilet paper replacement device

    MISSOURI CITY, Texas — HDesign has introduced a toilet paper replacement device.

    The EZ-I/O Changer uses the existing functionality of the typical toilet paper roller to its advantage. With the EZ-IO Changer, the toilet paper itself becomes the main object used to remove, replace, and install an empty (or full) roll of toilet paper; instead of holding onto the ends of the roller.

  • FDA approves Sanofi voice-guided auto-injector for allergic reactions

    PARIS — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a voice-guided injection device made by Sanofi for severe allergic reactions, the drug maker said Monday.

    The French drug maker announced the approval of Auvi-Q (epinephrine), calling it the first epinephrine auto-injector with audio and visual cues that guides users through the injection process. Sanofi US licensed the North American commercialization rights to Auvi-Q from Intelliject, which has retained commercialization rights for the rest of the world.

  • Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear introduces low-calorie lemonade

    NEW YORK — Arizona Beverages USA and Jack Nicklaus have announced the latest addition to the popular Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear line.

    Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Ten original lemonade contains 5% juice and honey, with 10 calories per serving.

    Golden Bear Ten original lemonade has begun distribution in the Northeast and will continue to rollout nationally throughout 2012. The 23-oz. can is pre-priced at 99 cents.

  • Mylan launches generic sleep disorder, bipolar disorder drugs

    PITTSBURGH — Mylan has launched a generic drug used to treat sleep disorders, the company said Friday.

    The generic drug maker announced the launch of modafinil tablets in the 100-mg and 200-mg strengths. The drug is a generic version of Provigil, made by Cephalon — a company that Teva Pharmaceutical Industries acquired last year — and used to treat narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea and shift work disorder.
