  • U.S. women's gymnastics team to be featured on limited-edition Corn Flakes boxes

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg's is honoring the U.S. women's gymnastics team by debuting limited-edition boxes of Corn Flakes this fall.

    The box will feature team members Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber, who collectively won the gold medal in the women's team competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Kellogg's, an official sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee and USA Gymnastics, said the limited-edition boxes will hit retail shelves this fall.

  • Sagent Pharmaceuticals launches oxaliplatin

    SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Drug maker Sagent Pharmaceuticals has launched a generic chemotherapy drug, the company said Thursday.

    Sagent announced the launch of oxaliplatin, a generic version of Sanofi's Eloxatin.

    Various versions of the drug had sales of about $1.7 billion during the 12-month period ended in June, according to IMS Health.

    The Lysol Power and Free line is comprised of a multipurpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner and toilet and bathroom wipes, making it suitable for everyday use around kids and pets, and may be used on a variety of surfaces with no rinsing needed.

    GLENDALE, Calif. — Nestlé has expanded its Juicy Juice line.

    New Juicy Juice Fruitifuls an all-natural juice beverage that has 35% less sugar than regular juice with all the benefits that fruit juice has to offer, including a full serving (1/2 cup) of fruit in every juice box.

  • Pepperidge Farm marks anniversary with new products

    NORWALK, Conn. — Pepperidge Farm is celebrating its 75-year anniversary by launching new product innovations this fall.

    The following items will hit store shelves from Pepperidge Farm:

    • Pepperidge Farm Simply Natural breads in soft and smooth-textured honey wheat and honey oat varieties;

    • Goldfish bread: Soft, made with whole grain and no high-fructose corn syrup, will be available in brown sugar and cinnamon varieties;

  • Jamba launches Greek yogurt superfruit smoothies

    PHOENIX — The Jamba "at home" lineup has expanded to include Jamba Greek yogurt superfruit smoothies.

    The smoothies combine nonfat Greek yogurt with on-trend superfruits and are available in two flavors. Pomegranate Pick-Me-Up contains whole frozen blueberries and raspberries, sliced strawberries, pomegranate and frozen nonfat Greek yogurt. Acai Super-Antioxidant features whole frozen blueberries, raspberries, sliced strawberries, blackberries, acai and nonfat Greek yogurt. Each serving has 130 calories or less.

  • FDA approves new leukemia drug

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new drug for treating a rare type of leukemia, the agency said Thursday.

    The FDA approved South San Francisco, Calif.-based Talon Therapeutics' Marqibo (vincristine sulfate liposome), an injectable drug for Philadelphia chromosome-negative acute lymphoblasic leukemia, or Ph-negative ALL.
