    MINNEAPOLIS — Fiber One has introduced new snack bars for kids.

    Fiber One Chewy bars tout 110 calroies or less and 8 g or less of sugar and do not contain high-fructose corn syrup, Fiber One said. The bars are available in chocolate and strawberry PB&J varieties and are complete with a peanut butter or chocolate-flavored bottom.

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — Pepsi has expanded its Pepsi Next brand with two new flavors.

    Pepsi Next cherry vanilla and Pepsi Next paradise mango flavors deliver real cola taste with 60% less sugar than regular Pepsi, the company said.

  • Lindt continues to achieve 'excellence'

    STRATHAM, N.H. — Lindt has expanded its Excellence chocolate line.

    New caramel with a touch of sea salt and coconut flavors join the lineup of Lindt Excellence bars.

  • Teva launches ADHD drug

    NORTH WALES, Pa. — Teva Pharmaceuticals has introduced a generic drug for treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, the company said.

    Teva announced the launch of methylphenidate hydrochloride extended-release capsules in the 20-mg, 30-mg and 40-mg strength. The drug, a generic version of Novartis' Ritalin, is available in 100-pill bottles.

  • FDA approves weight-loss drug

    SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new weight-loss drug made by Vivus, the agency said.

    The FDA announced the approval of Qsymia (phentermine and topiramate) extended-release, designed for use by overweight and obese adults alongside a reduced-calorie diet and exercise for chronic weight management. The drug's original brand name was Qnexa.

  • Premama launches prenatal supplement drink mix

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Premama recently launched its patent-pending prenatal supplement in drink form. The flavorless Premama mix can be added to flavored drinks and foods.

    The supplement mix contains six calories per serving. The key ingredients include biotin, B vitamins, omega-3, iron, CoQ-10, choline, ginger root and folic acid. In addition to supporting health during pregnancy, the ginger root helps with nausea relief, the company stated.

    A one-month supply retails for $25 on the company's website.
