Pantene is putting the spotlight on an Olympic athlete as part of its latest campaign.

The beauty brand partnered with U.S. Olympian track and field sprinter Allyson Felix on the “What’s Your Legacy” campaign, which looks back and celebrates moments that define a legacy.

The campaign features Felix and her daughter Camryn, who star in a short that acknowledges that a legacy is not made of wins and medals, but the journey that it took to achieve those accomplishments.

In addition to being an accomplished Olympic athlete, Felix said she decided to take a stand and raise awareness of the healthcare inequalities mothers of color face each day, the company said.

“I am thankful to have Pantene in my corner celebrating my legacy during this Olympic run,”  Felix said. “After having Camryn, defining my legacy became so much more than my accomplishments on the track. She inspired me to use my voice and make a difference for her and for the world, and I now feel that legacy most when I spend time teaching her how to care for her curls, further rooting our connection and legacy together.”

Felix will highlight several Pantene products she uses in her own daily hair care routine in the campaign, the company said.

“Pantene celebrates everyone whose legacy is built on courage, strength and advocating for what is right,” said Jessica Ettelson, Pantene's brand director. “We are so proud of the athlete, activist and mother that Allyson is and are excited to share the legacy she has built for her daughter and the world while inspiring others to build their own.”
