Perricone MD is using the power of vitamin C to help consumers obtain healthy skin.

The brand is adding a new product to its lineup — Vitamin C Ester Daily Brightening & Exfoliating Peel.

Formulated to help consumers smooth their uneven skin tone, this no-rinse resurfacing peel also looks to help eliminate dead skin cells and improve skin’s overall radiance and glow, the San Francisco-based company said.

“Vitamin C is known as a gold star ingredient in the skincare and beauty industry and continues to remain at the top with high awareness amongst consumers,” chief marketing officer, Robert Koerner said. “Our approach to vitamin C with our proprietary Vitamin C Ester ingredient has always made Perricone MD stand out from the rest, and we continue to expand the franchise offerings with this new brightening and exfoliating peel.”

Made with the brand’s proprietary Vitamin C Ester, it is more potent, highly stable and less abrasive, therefore making it easier to be absorbed, the company said.

In addition, the Vitamin C Ester also promotes the look of collagen-rich skin by smoothing, brightening and minimizing the look of discoloration over time.

Other ingredients found in the product include a blend of AHA’s and PHA’s, such as glycolic acid, gluconolactone and anti-oxidant rich bilberry, sugarcane, orange, lemon and sugar maple extracts, the company said.
