  • VoicePort looks toward comprehensive offerings with CLARO

    VoicePort arrived in Boston for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Total Store Expo this year with a new name for its suite of pharmacy technology offerings. The company rebranded its PharmaPhonetics property as CLARO Pharmacy Solutions — a name change aimed at highlighting the growth the company’s offerings have seen since starting out in 2003, according to VoicePort VP North American business development Alphonse J. Sasso.

  • Rx.com CHN chooses Availity to provide billing services

    FORT WORTH, Texas. — Rx.com Community Healthcare Network announced Monday that it had chosen Availity’s to provide medical claim billing services for  its Care Rx clinical services platform. Care Rx subscribers will now be able to bill medication therapy management (MTM) services as medical claims on a health plan level using X12 claim billing. 
     
  • Ateb expands U.S. headquarters as Canadian arm announces new Kroll integration

    RALEIGH, N.C. and TORONTO, Ontario — On the heels of the news that 1 million patients are having their medications actively managed through Ateb’s Time My Meds medication synchronization solution, the company announced on Monday a new integration of its services with a Canadian software company, as well as the expansion of the Ateb’s U.S. headquarters. 
     
  • Loblaw to purchase Canadian healthcare tech company QHR

    BRAMPTON, Ontario and KELOWNA, British Columbia — Loblaw, owner of Canada’s largest retail pharmacy chain Shoppers Drug Mart, announced Monday that it will be acquiring healthcare technology company QHR. Loblaw will be paying $170 million for the provider of electronic medical records, which is a 22% premium to the closing price on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and QHR’s board of directors has approved the deal.
