  • Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Bai Brands expand partnership

    HAMILTON, N.J. — Dr Pepper Snapple Group will distribute a growing line of all-natural, antioxidant-infused beverages, the maker of the beverages said Tuesday.

    Bai Brands, which makes the Bai 5 line, said the two companies had been working together for the last two years in select markets around the country and will now expand their partnership in most major markets.

  • Retail community responds with disaster relief supporting Midwest tornado victims

    GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — In response to recent tornadoes and inclement weather across the Midwest, Dollar General on Monday announced it is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts and also will collect monetary donations at its more than 11,000 retail locations to further provide aid. Separately, wholesaler H.D. Smith also announced it would match donations made in support of disaster relief. H.D. Smith is supporting the Salvation Army. 

  • Google Shopping Express, Costco partner in San Francisco area

    NEW YORK — Some members of club retailer Costco can have their items delivered to their homes under a new partnership between the retailer and Google, the Internet company said.

    Google Shopping Express is partnering with Costco to offer the service to members in the San Francisco area. Customers can order items online or through their mobile devices.

    The delivery service also has partnerships with such retailers as Target, Whole Foods Market and L'Occitane.

  • Kroger announces succession plan for secretary and general counsel

    CINCINNATI — Kroger on Tuesday announced its succession plan for secretary and general counsel.

    Paul Heldman, 62, a 31-year Kroger veteran who has been serving as the company's general counsel since 1989, secretary since 1992, and EVP since 2006, will retire in the spring of 2014.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS/pharmacy has announced its annual in-store fundraiser for the 10th year to support the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Thanks and Giving campaign, a holiday program to raise awareness and funds for the research and care provided at St. Jude.

    Since the campaign's inception, CVS/pharmacy and its customers have raised more than $37 million to support St. Jude.
