  • Hain Celestial gears up to launch new products

    MELVILLE, N.Y. — Hain Celestial is set to roll out 40 new products.

    The products, which were on display at the Natural Products Expo West earlier this month, include additions to the company's Arrowhead Mills, Celestial Seasonings, Earth's Best, Health Valley, Imagine, MaraNatha and Spectrum Essentials brands.

    ODENTON, Md. — M-Edge has unveiled its latest collection of tablet, smartphone and e-reader accessories in time for spring.

  • Special K granola bars make retail debut

    BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Kellogg's has expanded its Special K line to include granola bars.

    Available in dark chocolate and chocolatey peanut butter, new Special K granola bars offer consumers managing their weight to enjoy a snack that offers great taste and nutritional benefits. Each bar touts 110 calories, 3g of fat, 4g of fiber and 4g of protein.

  • Vapur launches Element Anti-Bottle

    WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Vapur has launched a collapsible and reusable water bottle.

    The Vapur Element Anti-Bottle is made with a 3-ply combination of BPA-free nylon and antimicrobial polyethylene, can be folded and stowed away when it is empty, and also is freezable and dishwasher safe, the company said.

  • NRF expects sales to hop up this Easter

    WASHINGTON — While intentions aren't always equal to results, if the National Retail Federation's predictions are correct, consumers will be shelling out quite a bit of cash this Easter. According to NRF’s Easter spending survey, conducted by BIGinsight, Americans will spend an average of $145.28 on everything from apparel and candy to food and decorations this year, up 11% from $131.04 last year. Total spending is expected to reach $16.8 billion.

  • Sports licensee Party Animal joins GMDC

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Global Market Development Center on Monday announced Party Animal — a manufacturer of flags, banners, collectible toys and knick-knacks featuring licenses from the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League and more than 70 colleges and universities — has joined the manufacturer's association.

  • Gnu Foods introduces new bars

    NEW YORK — Gnu Foods has added three new additions to its line of baked Flavor and Fiber bars.

    The company said its blondie, blueberry cobbler and carrot cake bars combine flavor and 12 g of fiber. "With the introduction of these three new flavors, we're responding to consumer requests for more dessert-like choices. We created these 'guilty pleasures' without compromising our commitment to clean ingredients and great nutritionals," Gnu Foods founder Andrew Brooks said.

  • Dentyne debuts new flavor, Split2Fit pack

    NEW YORK — Dentyne is boosting its gum portfolio with the introduction of a new flavor and new packaging.

    Dentyne said its Ice Mint Frost flavor brings a unique profile to the Dentyne lineup of intense breath-freshening gums. The company noted the new flavor is supported by the new Split2Fit pack, which designed to hold one-third more pieces of gum by holding 16 pieces of gum (versus the 12-piece pack) and can be split into two smaller, sleeker and easier-to-carry packs.
