    HERSHEY, Pa. — Twizzlers has tapped bloggers to tour the nation this summer through August to celebrate the brand's Landmark Summer promotion.

  • Chips Ahoy! takes the fudge route

    EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Chips Ahoy! is getting a chocolate makeover.

    The brand has introduced its fudge-filled chocolate chip cookies called Chewy Gooey that will be available in two varieties. The Chewy Gooey Chocofudge variety features a soft chocolate chip cookie made with real chocolate chips filled with a layer of smooth and creamy fudge, while the Chewy Gooey Megafudge variety is a soft, brownie-like chocolate chip cookie with real white chocolate chips and filled with a layer of smooth and creamy fudge.

  • 7UP Retro pays homage to 1970s, 1980s

    PLANO, Texas — 7UP is sporting two nostalgic looks designed by “The Celebrity Apprentice” finalists Marlee Matlin and John Rich.

    New 7UP Retro celebrates the brand's heritage by donning two designs similar to past looks last seen in the 1970s and 1980s. An in-store marketing campaign inspired by the decades will support the limited-edition packaging.

  • 2 Chicks with Chocolate makes Midwest debut

    NEW YORK — A chocolatier has brought its gourmet chocolates to the Midwest.

    2 Chicks with Chocolate, which makes such chocolate products as toffee and bark bars, spicy tiles, popcorn and more, will present some of its products next week at the Chicago Sweets and Snacks Expo. The brand recently added its tempranillo ganache and meritage caramel confections to its wine collection line.

  • Activate teams up with Nourish America

    NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Enhanced vitamin beverage Activate has partnered with Nourish America to provide daily essential nutrition to pregnant moms in need.

    For every bottle of Activate purchased from June 1 to July 31, the brand will make a donation to provide a day's worth of nutrition to a woman and baby in need, as part of the Buy One, Feed Two campaign.

  • John Bilbrey steps in as Hershey's interim president, CEO

    HERSHEY, Pa. — Hershey's leader is bidding the confectioner farewell, the company announced Wednesday.

    David West, who has worked at Hershey for 10 years and serves as its president and CEO, is leaving his post to become CEO of Del Monte. The candy maker's board of directors appointed EVP and COO John Bilbrey to serve as the company's interim president and CEO.

    Bilbrey joined Hershey in 2003 as SVP and president, Hershey International.

  • SoBe kicks off Try Everything campaign

    PURCHASE, N.Y. — SoBe has implemented a full-scale integrated marketing campaign.

    The beverage brand said that its latest campaign, dubbed "Try Everything," is the biggest effort made since 2008. The Try Everything campaign combines television and radio advertisements, in-market grassroots programming and a revamped SoBe website.

  • Fresh & Easy expands gluten-free offerings

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Regional supermarket chain Fresh & Easy said that it is augmenting its gluten-free products range and will highlight the new offerings in stores through additional displays.

    The company said it has added 15 to 30 new gluten-free items to its stores. Fresh & Easy currently boasts more than 500 products that do not contain naturally occurring gluten ingredients.
