CeraVe may be best known for its skincare products, but the brand is now broadening its portfolio to a new category—haircare.
The new launches include the Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner, which were formulated to help eliminate visible flakes without disrupting the scalp barrier. In addition, the products aim to alleviate symptoms of mild to moderate dandruff while also leaving strands feeling healthy and soft.
To create these new products, CeraVe designed an approach that targets the root cause of dandruff—a ceramide deficiency—while respecting the balance of the scalp barrier.

"As we looked ahead to the future of CeraVe, we felt that hair and scalp care were a natural progression for the brand," said senior vice president and global head of professional sales and marketing for CeraVe, Tom Allison. "Working hand-in-hand with our dermatologists, we were able to create anti-dandruff formulas with skin-identical ceramides that are not only effective for gently and effectively cleansing and treating dandruff without disrupting the scalp barrier, but also leaves hair feeling healthy and soft."
Suitable for all hair types, curl patterns, color-treated hair and sensitive scalp, the Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is formulated with 1% pyrithione zinc, and the accompanying conditioner also is pH-balanced and allergy-tested, per the brand.
