CVS Health is highlighting the ways that its MinuteClinic locations and its newly launched telehealth video visits make quality care more accessible to patients.

Despite being buoyed by same-store prescription growth of 9.5% in the retail/long-term care segment and 5.9% in its pharmacy services segment, the company still swung to a net loss of $2.6 billion, compared with $1.1 billion in net income in the prior-year period.

CVS Health said MinuteClinic Video Visits will provide patients with access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week via telehealth appointments initiated in the CVS Pharmacy app and using Teladoc's technology platform.

CVS Health, serving as the American Cancer Society's official retail pharmacy partner, said it had pledged to raise $10 million in three years to eliminate cancer through in-store donations at CVS Pharmacy locations.
