  • Edgewell Personal Care acquires Bulldog Skincare Holdings Limited

    ST. LOUIS -- Edgewell Personal Care Company has acquired Bulldog Skincare Holdings Limited, a U.K. based men's grooming and skincare products company. 

    Founded in the U.K. in 2006, Bulldog offers male skin care products including moisturizers, face washes, scrubs, balms, shave gels and creams, body washes, lip balm and lotions.  Bulldog's products are sold globally with distribution in over 17,000 locations.  Its largest markets are in the U.K., U.S., Sweden and South Korea.

  • Canadian health and beauty retailer to open stores in U.S.

    A retailer that specializes in natural, plant-based wellness and beauty products is hoping to make a big splash in the United States.

    Saje Natural Wellness will open its first U.S. store at the end of November, in Malibu, California, with plans to open 25 additional locations in 2017. The company’s stores are designed to offer a sensorial and educational experience, allowing engagment with the products on display.

    The Vancouver-based retailer is also launching a new web site that will allow it to sell direct to U.S.-based customers.

  • JCPenney is testing a smaller Sephora format

    JCPenney is testing out a smaller version of the Sephora shops that it places strategically within its stores.

    According to Fortune, if the trial is successful, JCPenney could roll out the new 350-square-foot boutiques inside the smaller stores that it operates.

  • Ulta to open store on Chicago's Michigan Avenue

    Now we know that Ulta Beauty's long-term strategy includes a store on Chicago's glamorous Michigan Avenue.

    According to the Chicago Tribune, Ulta will be moving into a space vacated by Walgreens at 430 N. Michigan Ave. The store is expected to open in summer 2017.

    WINNIPEG -- Natural skin care brand Olen is launching a 100% natural sunscreen called Sunblocz. 

    According to the brand, Sunblocz and Sunblocz Baby+Kids sunscreen is as safe for the earth as it is for skin. The company says it's safe for use in sensitive reef areas and marine parks and is 100% all-natural, with zero chemicals.

  • H2O Beauty rings in holiday season with new gift sets

    SAN FRANCISCO -- H2O+ Beauty is launching a collection of holiday gift sets featuring the brand's new packaging and best-selling formulations from a recent relaunch.

    H2O+ Beauty says the new holiday offerings are inspired by the brand's innovative beginnings and combine pure water with the latest advances in skin technology, resulting in performance-based formulas made without parabens, mineral oils or phthalates.

    The packaging has also been revamped, reflecting a more modern look and feel that hearkens to the brand's water-based heritage.
